An emergency exit in a structure is a special exit for emergencies such as a fire: the combined use of regular and special exits allows for faster evacuation, while it also provides an alternative if the route to the regular exit is blocked by fire etc. The qualifications for an emergency exit are as follows: it must be in a location.(size 12x18" sandwitch).

Suitable for areas where immediate location of one's position is essential in an emergency siguation such as sudden darkness or in case of mains failure.

It Is Important to mark the exit route with exit signages at regular intervals and at all junctions directing towards the final point exit i.e. the doorway where the sign should be placed above or to the side. if the door itself has any from of security fastening, a sign should be used explaining how to open the door i.e. push bar to open'. Also if there is a fire alarm call point at the exit, it should also be clearly signed.
